Nice breakfast, restaurant on the pricier side but the bar has an amazing views, good beer, sake and they make nice negronis. Would def recommend and stay again. "

"We had an amazing 3 day stay at Art Mon Zen. From the moment we arrived to leaving, the staff were exceptional and extremely attentive. Probably the best hotel stay in Japan. Overall, the room was very comfortable and relaxing after a long day visiting all the sensational sights in Kyoto. "Very cool hotel in a great location - truly felt like a hip boutique hotel but with all the amenities (and more) of a large chain. Staff were all incredibly nice and helpful. "Great hotel! Rooms were clean and beds were sooooo comfortable. Location is near many stations (shijo-Gion to the south and Sanjo to the north). Close to the river and other historic neighbourhoods. Honestly an ideal home base for your Kyoto adventure. Staff is attentive and friendly and the hotel and area are quiet. We didn’t opt for the Japanese style breakfast but we saw them in the morning and they looked good."

"I really enjoyed my stay at Soraniwa Terrace Kyoto. The onsen was relaxing, and the roof terrace, with its daily free drink, was a great touch. The views were amazing, the location was perfect for getting around Kyoto, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. I’d happily stay here again."

"Great customer service! We arrived earlier around 1ish and checked our luggage’s in first. When we came back, room cards are all ready and luggages were carried in our room in advance. The premium coffee machine produced the best tasty coffee of all hotels I tried so far. The cafeteria was lovely. Too pity haven’t got chance to try their beer (didn’t see we had a beer coupon until after 10pm). The bed was hugely wide, and probably the most spacious bathroom in Japan. Great location! The...

"Our stay in Kyoto at the Resi Stay was wonderful. We were able to send some of our luggage ahead, and it was waiting for us at the check-in counter across the street from the train station, which is where you check in. We stayed in 1F and it was huge and very quiet, and it had laundry. We loved exploring Kyoto from this location, as it's so close to a very cute part. We only wish we made a better plan for seeing the rest of Kyoto. It's big and spread out. "
