"In the heart of everything we wanted to do. 3 min walk to hop on hop off bus, 15 minutes walk to Basilica, lots of shopping near by and good restaurants. Staff are exceptional and rooftop is spectacular but pool was too cold to go into."

"Peres, Adam, Alfredo and Kevin were so nice and welcoming as were the other staff members. The location were perfect and I would stay here again in a heartbeat. The rooms were spotless and quiet. The room darkening shades were perfect. We did not have the buffet, but I’m sure it was excellent. The water pressure was very good and the toiletries were quite nice. I liked the sliding door separating the bedroom from the washroom area. "

"We love the Room Mate hotels and the Gerard didn’t disappoint. The staff were all so friendly, the property had a roof top terrace that we used twice to unwind at the end of the day. We included breakfast in our booking and it was delicious. Cheeses, meats, vegetables, fresh fruits, yogurts and a selection of hot dishes plus fresh bread and pastries. "Our Junior Suite was well laid out, clean and everything worked….except WiFi in the room is below average and occasionally not working well or dropped. This seems to be a H10 issue as we had a similar issue in other cities. Pillows were not good, even though they provided 3 per person. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Check-in was delayed as our room was not ready till an hour after normal time. All in all a good 4 nights in Barcelona."

"Clean nicely decorated room. Great breakfast and we had to leave early so they packed us a light breakfast to go on the last day. Staff were all helpful. Unfortunately….. my husband was robbed just down the street by 100 meters. His necklace was ripped off from where it was visible on the back of his neck. Apparently they work in gangs. I would stay there again but would be cautious on covering everything up safely while you walk anywhere in Barcelona."

"We booked this property because it had a pool but the day before check in they let us know that the pool was not available but that we could use the pool at other properties, one of which was 30 mins away. I asked if they could move the booking to these other locations but they did not have availability. I feel a discount should be offered in this instance, without a car in a foreign city it’s not convenient to travel to another location for the pool. I will also say that it should be noted...
