"Made the mistake of going on 4th of July week. They Had an event charging 100 a person more to eat and see fireworks. otherwise no dinner. Restaurant was closed. But luckily we could see fireworks from our balcony, yet there was a gigantic tree blocking our whole view. We didnt eat, we didnt see fireworks, I went there because It was haunted. "The property is an updated 70's style motel - good intentions but not really hitting the mark, especially for the price we paid. The makeover still leaves the old structure underneath. My biggest complaint is that the room was musty and had a moldy smell, which made it uncomfortable. The staff was fine; the outdoor seating area was cute. The food was okay. The restaurant advertised itself as more refined than it actually was. There weren't really any amenities other than the restaurant."

As we tried to follow the unhelpful directions to room 230 offered by an impatient clerk, we approached a crumbling cement stairwell where a huge pile of vomit was gathering flies. A foot away, a broken shopping cart filled with garbage, including a hauntingly broken infant carseat, blocked the passage. "We enjoyed the style of the Motel—brought back memories of long ago. It was impeccably clean and everything in the room was fine. We were only there one night but it was a very nice, reasonably priced by the night instead of 2-3 night mandatory we had seen. Staff was extremely friendly and welcoming and settling in was easy with parking right in front of our unit and straight in with no stairs or hallways to wrangle luggage through. "The staff was a husband & wife ownership. They were very nice. The wife was helpful giving us recommendations on where to go. They were accommodating placing a bigger refrigerator in our room for all our perishables. The only drawbacks was the pool was out of commission on the hottest weekend of the summer, Due to the rain. The bathroom was big but only had 1 hook to hang a towel on. There was no storage to place clothes on while taking a shower or getting dressed only back of toilet or floor....
