"Excellent breakfast outside next to the hotel, very clean rooms, 4 restaurants just inside the property with terasse outside, not too expensive $150 US breakfast included a nice basket of fruits upon arrival and a large bottle of water. 15 minutes from the airport, 45 minutes to the Sohynx and Keopsand the Grand Museum. 3 minutes walking to reach the Metro. "Large, clean, well appointed room and bathroom. The mattress was in good condition (no sagging in the middle or the side). Lighting was good. Blackout curtains provided privacy and insulation against the sun and the air con worked well. Reception was polite, efficient and knowledgeable checking in and out. Several restaurants available within the hotel including an Italian venue with excellent food and service. Bottled water was used in food prep and ice for drinks. No Pharaoh’s curse! A grand...

Since it’s a renovated soap factory, every space is different, and it’s the luck of the draw if you get the owners suite (bro’s room) or a smaller room that requires contortions in the bathroom. "Le Riad Hotel de Charme has, you guessed it, lotez if charm. The staff was very attentive, the room very well decorated and comfortable. We liked the area but early/light sleepers be mindful, it is at its busiest/noisiest at night until ca. 2am while quiet afterwards until late morning so consider this. That said, we found it a perfect pied-à-terre for our short stay in Cairo."

"A monstrously decadent grand building full of Africa princes and wedding guests. Wonderful reception areas very grand. The rooms are functional and more corporate but lacking a desk to work at - chair/desk at wrong height and clustered with coffee making facilities. Bathroom was great, but a little tired and the shower wasn’t wide enough, even for a skinny lad. Nice balcony and lovely grounds in gated compound. Didn’t seem to be near anything interesting."

"Staff at time of my check in was very friendly and co-operative. Room is nice and clean, we have electric kettle in room but no tea, milk or coffee so please get your own tea bags or coffee sachet with you otherwise there is plenty available around there. Location is brilliant and very close to many city attractions, plenty of shopping around and metro station in nearby. Lot of local street food is there in that area.
