"We checked in late due to our car breaking down at Stansted airport and needing a place to stay for the night. We were met with very friendly and welcoming staff who upgraded our room straight away and made us feel at home after a very stressful day! Drinks at the bar with a cheese board in the evening was just what we needed, and the breakfast was gorgeous. All in all a very lovely stay at the Gem. "

"Excellent room, good water pressure, nice king size bed. The hotel is a bit further from the station than I anticipated but in reality only a ten minute walk through the Stratford Centre. Be alert and not alarmed when walking about. Not unsafe but just a lot of people normally around. "
