The restaurant downstairs was actually pretty good — convenient and tasty. The mattresses are not so great !!! A few things to know before you book: *The not-so-great:* When we first checked in there was a funky smell in the lobby, but credit where it’s due — two days later they had incense going at the entrance/exit and it made a big difference....

"Our room was clean and very nice. The photos on Expedia doesn't do it justice. Plenty of amenities that includes 3 different complimentary drinks that get refilled daily, senbei snacks, and the usual toiletries and sleep wear. The onsite Onsen is simple, but clean and was never crowded. Close to all the shops, temples, many local restaurants, bakeries, and coffee shops. Great place to stay to get away from the noisy touristy areas, but close enough to go everywhere by foot."
