"We had a fantastic stay at Nohga. Clean, spacious, and modern rooms with aesthetically pleasing interiors. Staff were very courteous and everyone spoke English. I liked the bakery to grab a quick bite and breakfast offering was great too. Nice and beautiful rooftop bar. Location was a big plus with major attractions in Gion very close by. I would definitely stay here again. "

"Completely blown away by this hotel! Friendly and attentive staff, numerous amenities and felt like an authentic Japanese experience from the moment you walk in the door. Everybody must take their shoes off at the entrance and place them in easy to use lockers. The rooms had nice Japanese touches, loungewear, amenities, water and a treat in the fridge. Access to the onsen baths was available for no cost, with a wide variety of different baths (separated by gender, no clothing), massage chairs...

"Apart from the hotel being a lovely and pleasant stay, I really appreciated the coffee in the lounge. There is a Nespresso machine there where you can make your own coffee even when breakfast isn’t being served. This was very helpful to me because I had to leave before breakfast and I was really appreciative of this small but big convenience. They even had little cookies to have with the coffee and this fabulous tea flavored candy that I enjoyed later in the train. Thank you for that. It...

"Staff was friendly, housekeeping did an excellent job. The only negative thing is that the smoking room allows too much smoke into the lobby and the laundry room. We used the laundry room and our clothes smelled of cigarette smoke. Maybe a better ventilation or air purifier would eliminate the smell of smoke"
