"Cute little hotel with very nice staff. However, the noise level was insane and i barely slept the three nights i had booked for a work trip; door slams from the neighbors, the upstairs neighbors walking, and some loud mystery sound that repeated every ten seconds, and the ice machine... also, I didn’t take advantage of the breakfast; was pretty much just waffles/bread items and coffee with coffee mate pods. Unfortunately had to purchase breakfast and coffee elsewhere. "

"It was an absolute great stay, the only complaints were that the room walls were super thin so you could hear everything outside, and that the shower didn’t get as hot as I would have liked. The hot tub on the other hand was one of the hottest I have been in, it was amazing!!"

"The property is in a great location, but that might be the only positive to staying here. I did not read reviews before booking but suggest you do. There were cockroaches climbing the walls, hair in the sink upon my arrival, the bathroom window was open and the screen was part way out, there were stains on the curtains, electrical cords hanging around, and mold on the box spring. Within 10 minutes of being innthe room, i didnt feel well and ended up staying elsewhere instead. "

"Clean room with many amenities Arrived at 3:10 hoping to check in early. Was not able to check into a room until 4:30. Hotel accommodated us with free parking which we appreciated, especially since we did not realize the parking was an additional fee. "

"It’s centrally located in San Clemente and you can easily walk to nearby restaurants and shops. It’s an older property but rooms are renovated and clean. I was visiting family that lives nearby so i didn’t need a lot of amenities but it’s close to the freeway so you will hear some noise. "

"The place was decent. Definitely a bit run down and in need of some upgrades. But everything worked okay. Breakfast was underwhelming but did the job. The floors and walls were very thin and made it very difficult to relax. The location is good if you want to walk along the harbor. It was fun to be there during the whale Festival, although unexpected."

"Always loved staying at Surfbreak very welcoming staff and accommodating! Especially the property manager Julie who is very understanding and welcoming! Parking is good and free, the breakfast at SC cafe is chefs kiss and location of this place is good! It’s nearby me and my partners favourite places such as the beach which is at least less than 5 mins away and our favourite local burrito place. Will definitely come back. Keep it up surfbreak! "
