"We had a fantastic stay at The Cottages at the Boat Basin in Nantucket. The staff were warm, welcoming, and went out of their way to make us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Just cannot praise the staff enough—Cesal was even there waiting for us as soon as our feet landed off the ferry.
What really stood out was how much they loved our goldendoodle. They greeted him with Nantucket gear, toys, treats, offered him a plush bed, and made sure we had everything we needed to keep him comfortable. It’s rare to find a place that is not only dog-friendly, but truly dog-loving, and The Cottages absolutely delivered.
We left feeling relaxed, appreciated, and already excited to come back. Highly recommend for anyone traveling with a furry family member."
"One of the most unique hotels we’ve stayed at. Great mix of folks from young family’s to retired couples. Great location, great staff and would love to come back."
"We had a wonderful stay at the White Elephant. The staff was warm and welcoming, and the complimentary rides made everything so convenient. Loved the nightly turndown with chocolates and water—such a nice touch. A perfect choice for us!"
"This was my first trip to Nantucket and probably my last. I found the hotel to be nothing special. The garden grounds were not neat and were filled with leaves. No one came to clean the room on our first day there, even though the cleaning staff was in the next room when we left for the day. I finally had to text them late in the afternoon to have someone clean the room. We couldn't find the hotel shuttle when we came in on the ferry, as they assured me they would be a van waiting. The bar closes at 10 p.m. and the only place to eat at the hotel closes at 3 p.m."
"We had a fabulous stay here! The staff was absolutely amazing with a special shout out to Omelia for being so good to us!
The breakfast was perfect, we rented bikes and beach chairs complimentary from the front desk and a man was able to help with luggage up and down the stairs. There is a bar and restaurant below “The Tap Room” which made for a very convenient and entertaining end of the night cocktail. Greg and Megan were great bartenders!
Our room was clean and every day they organized anything we took off hangers and or tidied up loose clothes.
Its proximity to the Main Street is about 4 “baby baby blocks” and just a perfect spot to walk to town and numerous restaurants.
I highly recommend this place, we stayed for a week and enjoyed it so much.
Thank you to all of the wonderful staff! We had the best time!"
