"Convenient location on the main street in Burntisland. Around 5-6 minute walk from the train station. The train into the Edinburgh Waverly Station, center Edinburgh, departs every 20-25, minutes and takes around 30 minutes into Edinburgh. My room was large, with a large screen TV, Hot water kettle. No mini fridge. No elevator. My room faced the backyard so it was quiet. The window opened a little to let in fresh air."

Also, if you are from the USA, keep in mind this is European which means no AC, poor access for anyone mobility impaired, no elevators, no top sheet and just a heavy duvet in spite of a heat wave, etc… Location was good but if you rent a car, note there is zero parking."

"The property did a great job at providing necessary information for check in and pertinent information. The only thing is: as of this time the tram is not running to “Shore” station; you have to take a 25 bus to Duke Street and it’s about 10 minute walk from there. I found it a bit confusing to figure out where my room was as there’s no front desk. Yet, the room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. There’s not many places around for breakfast or late dinner."

"This is a treat for our anniversary and this place is unique in its own way. We arrived prior to check in time and left our luggage at the reception and enjoyed our glass of champagne. We were given tickets to visit the Royal Yacht Britannia which we enjoyed very much. As the Fingal is part of the business of the Britannia, Fingal gives a feeling of Royalty in an modernised Britannia. "Nice hotel with a great location near Carnegie Hall, Dunfermline Abbey, the park and other businesses. Nice staff and good restaurant. The rooms were fine but a person has to understand older hotels don't have elevators in many instances, so plan for that."

"It’s an older hotel, the other side of the bridge from Edinburgh so cheaper by miles. It’s decent with plenty of parking. Bar is open 24 hours in the foyer. Breakfast was decent hot and cold buffet style. Would stay again."

"The room was very spacious and attractive, and the air conditioning worked great! I really appreciated the kitchen area with everything from a coffee maker to a fridge to a dishwasher! The bed is a bit firm, but not to the point of negatively affecting one’s sleep. The staff are very kind and worked hard to support requests.
