If you're looking for fancy, look elsewhere, The staff was helpful, the beds comfortable, and the location convenient for what I needed. It is also pet friendly for a $10 per night pet fee, much less than I have paid elsewhere."

Tuggle's Gap Roadside Inn - Blue Ridge Parkway
"This place is actually quite the gem. The only knock I have is that you cannot check in until 4:00 pm but the staff departs about 3:00. So you do a self-check in. That is absolutely fine except we don’t know that until we arrive at 4:30 pm. You have to travel six miles to Floyd to find dinner as the Tuggle’s Gap diner closes after lunch. Also their sign says the store is open 24/7 which is not true. It closes at same as the cafe. Very nice rooms and they are clean! Great location very close to an entrance of the Blue Ridge Parkway. Give them a look!"

"Wonderful area, lots to do & see. Just off the Blue Ridge Parkway. So very quiet up there, large porch, lots of rocking chairs & a swing. They had a spacious interior(living room & separate dining room), library with puzzles & games. Good Coffee & tea Excellent food! Staff was personable but were careful to give you space. Can't wait to go back!"

"The staff were absolutely great, quick to get us settled and made sure we knew exactly where our room was, and so sweet when had to ask for batteries for the remote. It's obvious it's an older motel but the owners are working hard to make it look good. We were in a section they had not quite gotten to yet so we had to only take showers as the tub ran water through the shower and the faucet. There were water stains on the inside and outside of the bathroom door, there were a couple if holes in the wall, and it was a little cramped for 3 adults but all in all nice. The air conditioner worked a little to well for my liking but my travel companions were loving it. Only issue we really had is the trash wasn't picked up the first day and we weren't sure if we were supposed to put it out the door or if we should just continue the way we were."
