"Fantastic place to stay when visiting Portland. The location can't be beat -- within a couple of blocks to the ferry terminal and Old Town shops and restaurants. The building is next to a police station and my family and I felt very safe. The unit was immaculate, modern, and fully equipped. Onsite parking was a huge bonus, as was the friendly and helpful staff. I would, without hesitation, stay at The Docent's Collection again."

Snacks and a Keurig in the hall for all on the floor to share was nice, although there was something wrong with the Keurig. (It worked, but there were multiple times I had to run it twice.)"
"Our stay at The Inn on Shore Road was wonderful! We came for the weekend of the Fourth of July and were impressed with the property's location, hospitable staff, and its quietness. The breakfast basket pickup was amazing - such a nice, homely, and delicious touch! Housekeeping was responsive when we asked for more towels and soap, and the only negative was that the rooms are smallish - but well within range for a quaint New England beach town. We look forward to returning and again watching...

"From the time we check in the staff was awesome! Friendly and helpful. Having easy parking in close proximity to the beaches was a great perk and the pool was perfect for familys and adults with the added perk of a hottub. Bed was softer then I like but for a beach side stay the lighthouse is perfect!"
