"Wow! What a great experience this was. I love how when I walked in the hotel I immediately saw smiling faces and a poster of President Obama in the corner. It was right on brand for my stay as I was visiting the Obama Presidential Center for the Grand Opening weekend. The breakfast was delicious and I love that we had a space to park at the hotel. This hotel was convenient for my commute in Hyde Park. I will be back. Thank you, staff for your service and kind hospitality!"

"The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. I prefer rooms without carpeting as carpets can get pretty nasty but these rooms are carpeted and appear clean but dated. The staff was helpful and friendly and assisted me with local restaurant and public transportation suggestions. There is no food served at this hotel but there are plenty of great restaurants nearby and a Starbucks next door. Overall, I would stay here again."

"The staff greeted me upon entrance, and checked me in earlier. The Bartender Alexis was very nice and attentive."

"All of the above were GREAT. I'd stay next time in town. The manager goes around and checks on things. Keeps the employees straight. Daisy at the counter was helful when I called with questions and all were very helpful suggesting restaurants and such. Although I missed not having a coffee maker in the room, the frech ground machines in the lobby more that made up for it. Never saw that anywhere else. Buffett food was good and she kept it fresh, clean and stocked. I told her too."

"My stay was only for a night; I wouldn't stay longer. The interior and exterior are not kept up. The bedding is questionable. I would consider bringing your own blanket and pillow or just covering the bed and pillows when lying on it. Their blanket is very thin. Wear socks or slippers; the floor is sticky, and bring an air freshener. Not sure what cleaning supplies are used, but the room needs airing out. It's a bad area or the surroundings are bad."

"Loved staying at this guest house. Me and my husband stayed for the weekend, the location was excellent, rooms were tidy, bed comfortable. First time ever trying a guest house situation and for a quick trip I would do it again. The deposit situation was a little unorthodox but we understand the reasoning why."

"Loved this guest house, they even allowed me to check in early for a small fee! Good at communicating in timely manner! The only thing that caught me off guard is the security deposit, but I would definitely rebook!"

"I arrived at the property around 4:30 PM and was very disappointed with my experience. The property looked poorly maintained, and the surrounding area felt unsafe and uncomfortable to me. There were also many flying insects around the property. I asked the front desk employee whether the area was safe, and his response was, “If you’re concerned about safety, then don’t stay here.” That response made me feel unwelcome and reinforced my concerns, so I decided not to stay."
