"敢えて国立大学の近くということで選んだが、市内中心部からは遠いので、バスや鉄道の乗り方を覚えることが移動の際には必須となる。近くにはコンビニも含めて幾つか飲食店もあるが、それほど便利な立地ではない。但し、週末に、その飲食店に国内随一のエリート大学生たちが集って食事を楽しんでいる様子に遭遇できたので、ある意味、シンガポール社会の一端を垣間見れて興味深かった。フロントのスタッフに1人インド系の比較的若い男性がいて、とてもフレンドリーで丁寧な対応で好感が持てたが、他のフロントスタッフは挨拶すらしないし、まあ、この程度のホテルなら、そんなものだろうという感じであった。とにかくシンガポールは、ホテルも含めて物価がバカ高いので、宿泊先を探すのは大変である。ホテル自体は施設が古く、（私が泊まった）部屋は狭く、遮音効果も小さく（外の音が結構聞こえる）、3泊したが、部屋は清潔だし、ベッドメイキングも丁寧だったので、夜帰って来て寝るだけの場所としては悪くはない、という感想である。"
