"Had a wonderful stay at Cabana Bay! The facilities are impressive, the pool is amazing and there are many conveniences and pros to staying here. The food offerings at the diner were pretty good for the price and although not anything remotely close to “fine dining” it gets the job done well for a theme park hotel. Staff were friendly enough but no one stood out, service was appropriate but not noteworthy. My only feedback is that the room bathroom could use a little “freshening up” as fixtures and caulking have seen better days. They could also offer a little more in terms of toiletries since they pretty much only had shampoo and body wash, would’ve liked to have some lotion provided but that’s not a deal breaker by any means. Overall we would be very happy to stay here again! "

"Everything was great for the price. Great location for Universal Parks, Island Adventure, Universal and the City Walk are within a mile so walkable or a short Lyft ride. Beds are comfy, rooms are nice and have everything you need. Lobby areas are nice and everyone was friendly. Overall a great stay."

"Although this hotel/resort is supposedly going to be renovating, at the present time this place sucks! The rooms are so outdated. The pull out couches should be burned! The mattress is paper thin. It took the staff 3 hrs just to bring an extra blanket then advised they didn’t have anymore & sent more thin sheets. Then the annoying salesman in the lobby.. No One Wants to purchase a Florida Timeshare anymore: The water park is nice though. But the rooms give “cheap motel” vibes. My room key wouldn’t work & try carrying multiple luggage’s up a flight of steps only to not be able to get in your room because the door handle should be turned upwards to open the door instead of downward. We stayed in building 7. "
