"It is self check in. No staff other than a housekeeper. Lounge isn't stocked with anything useful after the breakfast. Dumpsters are a mess with animals dragging food from dumpster out into parking lot. My vehicle got broken into and all of my debit/credit cards were stolen. "While doing a search for motels on L.I., I found that prices had doubled and tripled from when I stayed at another location this past March but I found this gem for the price that other hotels were charging months ago and investigating further, found a majority of very positive reviews. "The chalet had charm. The one complain I have is that they messed up my reservations. i had booked two rooms and I called to confirm the day off and they told me that i only had one room. I showed them my credit card charges that showed two rooms were charged for. I had to scramble to find another hotel and ended up costing me close to $400 for the night and turned out it was a lousy hotel.
