"Very relaxing stay with excellent restaurant meals..."

"Bit of an issue getting into the property as we arrived quite late but thought the pub would still be open. Sorted out quickly without a problem though. Room was really good, comfortable, clean with all we needed for a good night's sleep. Owner seems to have considered what was required really well. Breakfast was excellent & catered for all tastes. Staff friendly & helpful. Would stay again."

"We were in room 3 which was huge, it comprised of a small sitting room, bathroom and large bedroom. Bed was very comfortable, room spotless, tv in both sitting room and bedroom. Small fridge in the sitting room with milk and chilled water which was very welcome as it was extremely hot. Breakfast was lovely, good portions, and all the staff were fantastic. "We had everything we needed - and more if you've forgotten anything - for our short stay. Lovely, spotless room (church view) just like the pictures, with gated parking. Apart from being a pleasant host, Jenny provided excellent, easy to follow check in information and details of places to eat and drink, which were all very close by."

"Great rural location (i am not a golfer), really nice room, clean and comfortable and reasonably stylish. Only let downs were; paper thin walls so could hear quiet conversations in the adjacent rooms, and a noisy shower (neighbour showered at 1am!). it was a heatwave; room fans were provided but it would have been good to fully ventilate the rooms. Due to work commitments i had to leave before breakfast so can't comment on that."

"A lovely old grade 2 listed house. Excellent location for Poole Quay and harbour. Parking in visitor’s public car park just across the road. Overnight parking is very reasonable. David was a fabulous host with plenty of stories to tell and the house is full of interesting “stuff” that he has collected. Delicious breakfast cooked to order. Our room on the second floor was very small and hot, but the others are bigger. Best to ask David before you book. Would definitely stay again."

"Still the best place to stay in Poole. Shower was awesome, enough room to get a rugby union team in!!! Great location near the restaurants on the Quay and a ten minute walk from the train station. Deluxe Room was very spacious and had an iron bath in the corner!! However, mattress was too soft and the pillows too 'fluffy'. Just a personal note, but we needed hard mattresses and 'dull' pillows. Breakfast is over-priced (plenty of coffee shops/delicatessens in Poole), but if you need to eat one,...

However the room we were in (an upgraded room) was over the kitchen and every morning at 7am something started up and all we could hear was the hum of it which is annoying when you would like a lie in. We ate both nights in the pub. The food is good but very pricey. On our 2nd night we both had a special which was gammon, 1egg, chips, pinapple and piccalily.
