Too hot to handle!

My stay was roughly what I was expecting. The rooms are a bit 'tired' but okay for the money. Biggest concern I had was that the hot water was far too hot, scalding hot in fact, manageable in the shower with the mixer tap but the basin had single taps so the temperature of the water was dangerous. Also the tap had a left handed action, which is bizarre.

The hotel was clean amd staff were very friendly but....... very dated and not what you would expect from a best western hotel. Condition was more like a britannia

Awful, I got to the hotel around 20:30, after a hard day at work! on parking a group of people were smoking in the front of the hotel webeing loud, on checking in although the receptionist was nice enough she had trouble with my key, the loud smoking people had at this point come into reception and continued to swear and be loud. The recep eventually handed me my key and to my horror she loudly announced my room number! I take the key & luggage and I’m waiting for the lift at which point I am now being attacked by small insects! Not sure what they were. I hurriedly get into the lift, get to my floor and loud people are now on the stairs, quickly find my room again being attacked by insects, open my door and OMG! I booked a room just for me, I had a sofa bed, a single bed & a double bed all made up! The other furniture was stacked in a corner of the room. The TV didn’t work. The tap in the sink when turned came out the bottom, flooding the work top. The place felt dirty, I just slept, I did look at the breakfast menu but they had nothing hot so I didn’t bother even though I had paid for it. There was a socket by the foot of the bed which I used to charge my dying phone only to realise the next morning it didn’t work! I tried to open the window it opened but the closed again every time you let go of the handle. There was a flashing red light from the smoke alarm made worse in the dark. In summary I wouldn’t recommend even if it is a business overnight. You get what you pay for!

Nothing special, nothing terrible

Hotel is a bit tired looking and reflected in the rooms. Rooms are clean enough but lack a fridge and two thin pillows on a double bed are hardly adequate.

Good hotel

Only stayed one night, arrived quite late but quick and friendly check in. Did did not want breakfast so did not have a chance to look around properly, but clean room, comfortable bed, flat screen TV and kettle with ingredients. Plenty of car parking and apparently free wifi but did not use it. Seems like an OK hotel.

Nice place.

Nice hotel with friendly staff. Only issue was the room was very hot when we arrived and we found an empty wine bottle behind the drawers when looking for a power point.
