"I didn't know how this property had so many wonderful reviews over the years. I was told the hotel was a lovely place but was since sold. If you see any photos of breakfasts - they don't exist. I would not choose to stay in this property again."

"The hotel staff were very helpful and the hotel very clean. Nowhere in the room to put anything drawers etc but that seems to be the same in all modern hotels now. I would certainly recommend this hotel"

"Please be aware that this hotel has been taken over by OYO. If I’d have known this prior to booking I wouldn’t have proceeded to book. I thought we were booking the Mecure but on arrival it was evident that OYO have taken over this hotel. The room was dirty and tired. Asked for a new room but they had none available. The only plus point was that the Young lad on reception was helpful and understanding and this wasn’t his fault. But for the price we paid for the room it was unacceptable."

"The first room we were allocated was facing the bar and atrium so we asked to change to a room that faced outwards. The restaurant was good though a bit expensive. Coffee was also quite expensive."

"Michael at reception was so helpful and gave me all the information I needed with regards to my room and food/drink. My room was clean, very peaceful and had a good sized desk and office chair so I was able to work during my stay. Food was nice and generous portions. The air con was fantastic in this hot weather. Overall an excellent hotel for business. I will be back!"

"If you are visiting Sheffield you can’t go wrong with a stay at this hotel. So easy into sheffield( we were at the Arena) lovely and clean and new. Fab staff and service and food was great in restaurant."

"The hotel was so clean from the drive, reception & bar area right through to the room. Staff were so friendly & helpful & represented the hotel very well. The room was spotless, roomy, bright, enormous super comfortable bed & had great mirrors in room & bathroom something we often get in more expensive hotels. "The entire complex was immaculately clean and fresh. The staff were welcoming on arrival and during our stay. The facilities are exceptional as was the breakfast, more than adequate and food quality was superb. The only (very) minor negatives are: The car park is not clearly displayed as being for patrons of the hotel leading to some confusion on arrival. "Beautiful property and decor however the main let down was the service of the staff in all areas of the hotel. We experienced poor service at breakfast, the bar, and reception. Staff seemed so disinterested it really made the overall stay unpleasant."

"The Staff were amazing, very helpful and while check in we had a confusion as we needed a connected room while booking had booked due to the fact that it had connected rooms, when we arrived after a 4 hrs. drive noticed that the booking was not as per how i booked. however the lady and the housekeeping staff helped to get a room quickly. this is amazing service, the only -ve i would say is the parking fee."
