"We had a lovely weekend at Arden House. Lucie organised everything with so much attention to detail and care that being there felt like a cosy home. We even received a welcome card and chocolate Easter eggs every time the room was cleaned. The location was also great, just a five-minute walk from the castle. The rooms were spotlessly clean. I would highly recommend staying there!"

"Excellent location within easy walking distance of train station, castle, cathedral, local shops and cafes/restaurants. We watched the World Cup football in the Tap Bar downstairs. Staff were lovely and welcoming and the bar had a nice atmosphere and buzz to it. 5* for warmth and friendliness of staff and location. 3.5* for rooms - great for a night's stay and clean and comfortable. "The 24hr check-in and 11am late check out was wonderful. The staff were all very helpful. The breakfast was very good with good vegetarian and vegan options. The room was clean and there were enough tea, coffee and milk portions. The shower was amazing! Very good price as well."

However, we were given a very hot top-floor room during 28°C weather, with no air conditioning and windows that barely opened. The fan provided did not help and none of us could sleep.
