"Great property, wonderful staff. Needs self-parking, the valet service is a hassle and sometimes understaffed - not their fault and they were trying very hard to get cars in and out as fast as possible but it adds 15-30 minutes to just getting away or to your room."

"Room was clean and pool was nice but the room had hardly any outlets, no alarm clock, and tv had very limited channels. Parking lot was tiny and cramped and really hard to park in at the end of the night. The hotel’s Instagram page has a picture of a bagel in the lobby which implied there was continental breakfast but the hotel only offers tea and coffee. The hotel’s Instagram and website boasts about being well decorated but only the lobby was cute, the room was very plain. All in all an okay...

"Our room was infested with ants and we got woke up every morning around 5 by really loud water pipe noises. They were aware of the noise and said it was an ongoing problem.Whoever the staff was that came to our door was rude and asked what the problem was and rolled his eyes. Will not stay here again and we do not recommend."

"Our room was well accommodated and served us well. We were able to get ground floor so we avoided the stairs. The only suggestion I have which sounds weird is the shower had so much pressure I couldn’t contain the water well in the enclosure.
Otherwise everything was great, including the tasty breakfast.
Would recommend."

"I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Carmel.
The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The location unbeatable especially if you come with a pet. In the morning I would just go get coffee next door (you get 15% discount for staying at hotel at Cafe Cielo) and walk to the grassy area within 5 min with my dog for a morning stroll. It’s right by the pier and the beach too and the hotel gives you a list of the restaurants you can get discounts or perks.
The rooms don’t come with a microwave or fridge...

"El lobby del hotel está lindo pero tiene un olor raro. El personal del lobby muy atento!!!
La habitación limpia. Tamaño regular. El baño muy amplio y bonito. La decoración es muy agradable y simpática. Te hacen la habitación si lo pides; pero no limpian realmente, solo cambian toallas y hacen las camas. En general es un buen hotel, con gran ubicación y en un barrio muy agradable."
