"The villas had a peaceful and opulent feel, with beautiful natural quiet surroundings. The staff were lovely and did everything needed. Location from the centre of Ubud is a little out, but worth it for the serenity you get that downtown Ubud now no longer has. Great for couples."

"The stay at Maya was nice and the area was beautiful. The Villas are very peaceful as well as the whole property. There is a nice calm feeling at this resort as it feels secluded even though it is very close to the downtown Ubud area. The live performances at dinner were a fun addition; if that be the traditional dancing at the main restaurant or the band doing cover songs at the bar. We are giving Maya 4 stars rather than 5 because a lot of the amenities stopped between 5 and 7 which created multiple inconvenient experiences on trip. For example, the tram is a great amenity that takes guests to downtown Ubud but it only runs from 9am to 5pm. This is such an early time to be shutting down this amenity. In addition the pools and spa close at 7pm which seems very early. Regardless of the amenities, this was a very nice resort to have some calm and just be."

"Beautiful hotel - loved the staff, the spa and the food. Thing that let it down was there was a massive street party outside. Techno music blaring until 3am so left very tired. "

"This place was lovely to spend some solo time, there were many couples too. Its away from the busyness so you will need car to move around but they offer a free shuttle into the center of Ubud. The staff was truly delightful and my favorite part of the experience. They were very helpful. The Chef was wonderful and I booked a cooking class. Also did their offering workshop and loved it. The bed and pillows were very comfy and everything felt very clean (Im super sensitive to cleaning product scents and had no issues yet everyting very clean.) I will return again! "

"We stayed for two nights at Quenzo Hotel Padangbai and had such a beautiful experience. It was a romantic trip, and I organised a surprise romantic package for my partner on arrival — the setup was absolutely amazing and made the moment really special. What impressed me even more was that I organised everything from abroad via WhatsApp, and the team catered to all my requests and helped bring everything together perfectly. They were so accommodating and made it incredibly easy to arrange something special for my partner. The service was honestly 5-star. The staff were incredibly kind, helpful, and welcoming throughout our stay, and they made us feel genuinely looked after. One of the highlights was a day trip with Darma, who treated us like family. He took us to the Gates of Heaven, a honeybee farm where we tried kopi luwak (the famous “poo coffee”), and an incredible lookout. It was such a memorable day and made the trip even more special. We stayed in a villa which was spectacular — beautiful, comfortable, and perfect for a romantic getaway. The food was delicious, and we loved relaxing by the pool bar as well. Overall it was an amazing stay and we will definitely be back. Highly recommend!"

"My wife and I spent two nights at the incredible Samanvaya Resort. Unfortunately this was at the end of our time in Bali, or we likely would have changed plans so we could stay longer. Everything was perfect, from the incredible restaurants to the views. Waking up in our own little villa overlooking the rice terraces was a special experience every morning. The staff deserve an 11/10, going the extra distance to help out at any opportunity. Highly highly recommended!"

"This was the best place in Bali we could have chosen! Not only were the host extremely welcoming and accommodating, but the place was beautifully clean. The scenery was amazing. The food was great and they helped us with everything we needed throughout our stay. It was the best experience. Could not have been a better experience. Highly recommend this place. It is private and the view is amazing. We loved the family who hosts they are so welcoming and friendly and patient. They will accommodate you with all of your needs and help you during your entire trip to get where you need to go at a very reasonable cost. Their drivers are amazing and so nice. It was a perfect day. We could’ve not asked for anything better."

"Beautiful, cozy, clean room and wonderful location. The front desk staff was professional and kind and the guest relations lady, Sonia (?), was delightful. The only disappointment was that despite receiving an upgrade that came with a small private garden, the room did not have any view, which is a shame in such a beautiful location."
