"This was my second time staying here. The ocean front rooms are way nicer and more modern than the other rooms. The owner is the same as the Diria next door, where you’ll be having your breakfast. Listen, for the price, just stay at the Diria, you’ll be spending maybe 80 bucks more and it’s got all the amenities you’ll need like pools, bars, restaurants, etc. The Perla is nice and low key, but too expensive for just offering oceanfront and free breakfast. "

"We had our own private oasis. It was nice after a red eye flight to have a quiet calm intimate place to relax. Virginia and her dog made our entire time so special. The minor note was the rooms were hot. The AC had a hard time keeping up with the hot heat. Drinks were good! Food was good. Views were amazing."

"Waitstaff at restaurant and beach bar were amazing! Very attentive, friendly conversations, missed nothing in terms of service, remembered names and room numbers after first meet. Housekeeping was okay but left the same dirty cups in my room for 4 days. Front desk at check in was good and informative; check out was rude. Nice that the hotel helped with some excursion and shuttle planning. Great private beach access and saw howler monkeys on the path down (twice)! Pool was lovely. Included dinner...

Make sure to contact the property by email before arriving to get the check in details as there is no reception onsite and booking sites will sometimes not let messages go through! The owner will respond usually pretty fast by email. Great location and affordable for Tamarindo where you can cross the street and be in the ocean in under a few minutes!
