"Great pub just outside of Penzance - would recommend"

"I had some issues with the cleanliness of the room. I raised them with staff on the front desk and they were fantastic. Fully engaging, very helpful - however the actual people responsible for the room cleaning were not and did not address anything. After nothing changed, the front desk staff moved me to a different room, and I had a good chat with and apology from the hotel manager. Overall, despite the issues with cleanliness, the hotel is well-run and it was a nice friendly place to stay....

"We had a fantastic weekend stay here! The location is absolutely unbeatable for exploring Land’s End, Porthcurno Beach, and the Minack Theatre. Overall, everything was excellent—comfortable rooms, great service, and breathtaking coastal views. Highly recommended for a Cornwall getaway!"

"The Pod was amazing, we don’t think the photos do it justice! We had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay and would love to visit again. Kevin and Michelle have thought of everything and were excellent with communicating details for directions and check in/out times. The location is brilliant, so close to St Ives and Carbis Bay, and the main bus route is right on the main road. Would highly recommend to anyone considering staying here. "

"Staff were lovely but the property needs a lot of TLC. The bathroom is tiny but well equipped. Good location for st Michael's Mount but not much else nearby. Bonus was, they offered breakfast included but we weren't hungry enough for a full English breakfast 😟"

They reserve the tables for the local people. We were seated in the pub section close to the bar even though all other tables were empty. We arrived at 4pm, it was empty. We ended up between two wet and smelly dogs and getting poked by the gentleman standing at the bar behind us. The server was oblivious...

"We booked our 3-night non-refundable reservation through Expedia and the listing said that parking was included. When we received our welcome email from the property manager we learned that the free parking was only for stays of a week or longer. The parking lot is a 10-minute walk uphill from the flat, costs £11/day. The flat is cute although small, but very quiet with a comfortable bed and well equipped galley kitchen. "Very close to the ferry to isles of scilly had 2 portions of ham egg and chips as we are gluten and dairy free and it was excellent enough to feed 4 Old building showing it's age .breakfast was very greasy .Gluten free bread was not nice"

"This pub was a great stop for us following a day of walking the SWCP. Very peaceful even though it is a pub. It is approximately 1 mile from Perranunthnoe, and SWCP. Bus 2 runs from right outside so ideal for connections to Penzance and Porthleven. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Would definitely return."

"This seems to be a restaurant with rooms upstairs rather than a hotel with a restaurant downstairs. It started a couple of days before when the hotel sent a message saying that "some rooms" have steep stairs and to notify them if that was an issue, so they could best accommodate. I was a little caught off-guard, but just replied I would have heavy luggage and it would probably be best to be placed in a room that wouldn't require the steep stairs.
