"Palazzo Del Sale is a gem. Giovanni was so welcoming and friendly, as were his staff and dog Gigi. At check in we were treated to a cappuchino before Giovanni helped us with our bags up to our room. The location of the hotel is perfect for easy walking around beautiful Ortigia. Our room was clean, spacious and comfortable and having the patio just outside our door an added bonus. "We stayed here for two nights and were extremely disappointed, especially considering this is supposed to be a five star property. Our first night we were put in a room where the bathroom had a horrid smell that spread to the entire room. The room was also on the same floor as all the cleaning staff which was very odd. They offered us nothing in return for this very disappointing night. Do not recommend staying here."
