"Stayed for three nights over Xmas. The walk from the pub to the accommodation was across a muddy unpaved carpark. Access to the room was via a combination door lock and privacy in the room afforded by blinds at the door ,room windows. Unfortunately there was no internal lock on the door and gaps in the blinds afforded a view into the room from outside. The room was cold on arrival and took hours to warm up. "As one can tell from the photos, this is a beautiful lodge in the old city. It's perched on a cliff overlooking the lowlands and the harbor off in the distance. The staff were always helpful and friendly. The breakfast menu, while limited, offered a fine variety of options, all well prepared. The only factor that keeps this rating from 5-stars is that the building lacks an elevator and stairs to upper floors are narrow and steep, the carpet is threadbare, and the walls require repair and...

"The room is beautifully decorated and the bed was very comfortable. Helpful staff and was able to hire us a car to pick us up at the train station. Great breakfast and dinner, highly recommended. "

"Good value. Had a pleasant ground floor room overlooking greenery and you can open windows and French doors to get a pleasing evening breeze. Property is a little dated but we were fine with that. Access to plugs is an issue for charger, kettle and iron , cant use light plugs as different so have to pull out tv on stand to access and crawl in. They should have an extension plug pack to make it easier."

"I was disappointed with this stay. For the amount of money it cost, the caravan was not clean, was overcrowded and needs a lot of smarting up. You had to pay extra to have bedding which I think is unreasonable, particularly how much it cost per night anyway. Communication with the host was fine but not great. Unfortunately I won’t be recommending or returning to this property. "
