"Staying on db&b basis for one night to break a journey, my expectations were not high. However I was wrong! The very ancient pub is just by the Abbey and it is welcoming and our room was very clean if a bit dated. Bath & shower worked well (loads of VERY hot water!) and the bed was comfy. Electrical points in odd spots, but probably practicalities dictated. Dinner was a restricted choice from the full menu but cooking and ingredients of real quality. "Our stay was amazing from start to finish, the hotel, restaurants, bars and rooms are beautiful. The food is absolutely incredible, the service was also brilliant. Great vibes in the evening. "Luxurious room! We splurged for the nicer room and wow! Wonderful staff, good beer selection. We needed to leave early the next morning so the chef packed us a picnic breakfast with lots of fruit, a blt sandwich, crackers and jams and cookies. Ate it on a hill overlooking a field of sheep and the town below. So memorable!"

Cheaper than other accommodation in the centre of Cheltenham but for a reason! Breakfast included but left half of the cooked breakfast as felt sick. Wouldn't stay again nor recommend to fellow travellers looking to book ❌️"
