"Delta Downs is a pretty good hotel casino. There is a strong smell of cigarettes when you enter but the room smelled clean. Really big room that was situated nicely. Beds were comfortable, the bathroom was quite spacious and the view of the racetrack was great. Plenty of elevator space. The outdoor pool was magnificent although we did not have time to enjoy it. The fitness center was a highlight for my family. We enjoyed a nice workout after a good night's rest. My wife and I enjoyed the casino. Plenty of slot machine selections from newer machines to retro pull slots. The negative side was the dining options. Three dining options but only select places are open on select days. The grill was closed while we were there and we were informed that it might open Wednesday (we checked in on a Monday-Tuesday). They had grab and go but super limited options. Overall pretty great place to stay."
"I enjoyed the Inn. Even though the first room I had smelled like mold, the 2nd room I was given was an upgrade. We did not receive the rooms we requested. We asked for rooms with 2 Queen beds but received King bed rooms.. Oh yes and then the breakfast in the morning my granddaughter found mold in one of the bagels she had picked up. It wasn't a variety of things to eat. It was just okay for the breakfast. The coffee at the front was also not good. I didn't try the coffee in the rooms. Also was there was a stain in my bed. I know it sounds like it's not a good review but I really did enjoy myself and the front desk Personnel was to me, exceptional! Because everything that we needed they did accommodate us on and they were very nice and friendly."

8/10 Good
"I was in room 219. On check out I did report the a/c was too humid everything was sweating. Also the toliet rocked. Overall it was good. Breakfast was good. Ice machine on 2nd floor broken."
"When I walked in, the housekeeper was mopping the front lobby. She was so thorough, actually moved at the furniture around and mopped underneath everything. The young lady at the front desk was very friendly. Just like the other day when I stayed the room I was in was absolutely beautiful.Everything looked brand new and freshly painted. This will now be one of my favorite stops on my way to and from Texas. I am so impressed with this particular location in Vidor."
