"A fantastic location , so close to the airport. Loved 24 hour check in / check out arrangement which really suited our transit schedule. Staff and facilities excellent and courtesy bus when we had lots of luggage appreciated. Excellence all round."

"Located right on the beachfront just across the road, its one of the biggest resort on patong beach. It takes around 15min to walk to the main patong beach area with shops, and massage centres etc. however we wanted to stay in a resort which is not too far from the main beach and area but at the same time is peaceful and serene and Diamond Cliff was the best one for the same. They upgraded our room to a jaccuzzi one and it was pretty and very huge. The pool had a slide for kids to play which was good fun for my son. Breakfast was good and the food menu was elaborate. We had dinner and lunch in the resort and it was nice and not very expensive, though the tax was too much. The resort provided a shuttle twice in a day one way to patong beach which was convenient. Wish they provided a return service too. Staff was very friendly and nice. Overall we had a very good stay."

"Had a beautiful stay at the Marriot Merlin beach resort, good view of the ocean, lots of activities to do within the resort, it’s a short drive away from the hustle and bustle of Patong beach so you can get the peace and quiet. Highly recommended."

"Great location for transportation, shopping, and dining options. Nice room with great amenities. Friendly and customer focused staff who were extremely helpful. On site restaurant is very nice and the pool and other facilities are excellent. My only complaint is the shower never seemed to get hot, plenty of hot water from the sink and the tub water did get hot after a short wait. Maybe a bad mixing valve or badly set scalding protector. All in all a good stay and would visit again."

"An enjoyable stay to start our holiday in Thailand before heading out to the Islands. Pros: comfortable beds. Spacious rooms. Great pool. Fantastic Spa & Staff. Breakfast was good. Location is excellent for local street food and supermarkets, without tourist prices. Highly recommend walking up to the Maji Marketplace a 10 min walk for a fantastic foodhall; drinks; shopping and a fantastic non-hotel priced Spa called Enrique. Not so great: the hotel is a little run down and has a big pigeon problem. Every room has nesting birds on the outdoor air con units which means the balcony is unusable due to huge amounts of bird poo (never cleaned up when room is serviced) they also make a lot of noise at sunrise and can wake you up. Walking around some rooms are badly affected, with a LOT of pigeons and pigeon poo - and seemingly nothing being done by the hotel. The Bathrooms are tired and could do with a refresh. But they are usable. Just not usual 4 star standard. Pictures were obviously taken years ago when it was fresh and vibrant Overall its a nice spot, out of the city and close to the airport - but a little shabby and reception team aren't great at communication!"

"Great hotel for family traveling with kids. We should’ve splurged for the swim in suites. The suites was spacious for family of 4. Amenities included flip flops, swim towels. Breakfast buffet had a lot of options for kids and adults. Adult only pool is 12+ and faces the beach. The beach was spectacular, water was warm, clean and clear"
