"Parking behind main building is limited, we got the last space. Unfortunately our twin room was like an outbuilding in the car park and very cold (radiators didn’t work) with a lamp not working and a spot lamp flashing on and off. Reported to staff and they put an electric radiator in the room which took the chill off. They said they’d have to get an electrician out re the lighting problems. "We enjoyed learning the history of this hotel. Excellent views of the river and swans from the bar, breakfast had lots of choices, conveniently located in the town near shops and restaurants."

"This is like faulty towers where the maintenance man is the bar man etc etc found it v odd to have nowhere to hang clothes not even hooks on back of doors yet you get a luggage holder in a room that barely has room for a chair. Quite amusing really. Aircon doesn’t work and windows rattle in the wind when left open. Nice bed and shower but …"

Great food and drinks at reasonable prices and both our evening meals and breakfast very high quality. Staff very welcoming and friendly. Would definitely recommend to friends and family and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. "
