"$40 per hour late check out was rough but everything else was nice."

"We were initially placed in a hallway where construction was taking place, and the room was quite dusty. Thankfully, we were able to move to a different floor, which was much nicer, although it was right next to a very loud elevator. The pool area was beautiful, but the layout was inconvenient. You have to walk through the cold pool to access three of the hot tubs, which wasn’t ideal. We also ate at the poolside restaurant, and while the food was great, the pigeons were aggressive and...

"The hotel is okay. It's not a fancy hotel with many amenities, which is fine because its price is competitive compared to other hotels on the island. In my opinion, it would be perfect if it were cleaner. The bedsheets and pillowcases were stained, as were some of the towels, and the shower was gross, especially the walls. "Only positive thing-room was clean. Overall view-the accommodations looked like a jail cell. No windows to speak of. The air conditioner lacked controls. Would not recommend this motel to my worst enemy. Have second thoughts of using Expedia in the future."

"We got partial beach view room but paid for beach view room."

"Part of pool deck roped off and the jacuzzi that kids are allowed in wasn't hot the last day. Room has very tiny double beds (seemed smaller than the double bed my son has at home). Otherwise nice setting and convenient location. Waterslide was very fun and staff were great!"

"Absolutely loved our 5 night stay at Koa Kea! It is such a lovely, small resort. Right on the ocean, just a few short steps to beautiful beaches with sea turtles, monk seals, great snorkeling and surfing. The resort staff was very friendly and so helpful!"

"The outside landscaping and decor with the native flora and fire torches and pits was outstanding. The rooms were well appointed and thought out."
