"I really enjoyed my stay here! Great staff very nice hotel. Stroll right slongthe ocean in front. Friendly people in and put. Fairly easy walk to the old downtown mission and the Amtrak train station. Funny I read people complaining about train noise at the hotel but that is only during the day I think it stops at 9:00 at night. Staying here makes you really feel like you're on vacation - not just a business or other kind of trip! I will return!"

"Very friendly staff! Pet friendly. Not U-Haul or trailer friendly. I was able to park in the back and detach my U-Haul into a space and park next to it. The area is a mix of locals and surfer hippies. Plenty of food choices less than 30 seconds to walk to. COFFEE is across the main road next to Vons. About a 2-3 minute walk but worth it for the doughnuts. THE HOTEL is NOT on the beach. It is situation at the beginning of the road, so it takes about 1-2 minutes to walk down. Any pictures of the rooms with a beach front view are the apartments that are down on the beach and you will need to reserve. "

"No parking. Overwhelming smell of bleach cleaner and paint. Had to check out early and change hotels b/c unable to tolerate. "

"Beach view was great. You can definitely get to know your neighbors though. Not much privacy or separation from the adjacent rooms. But this is knit picking. It was a great view. The staff was great. We were pretty early and they were very helpful with our bags and advice for the area. "
