"This was our second stay at this motel and I have to say it was as great of an experience as it was the first time. The owner is extremely friendly and went out of his way to ensure that our room was ready for us since we checked in exactly at 3pm. The motel is clean, comfortable and welcoming. "The property sits on a cliff overlooking the ocean and the freeway. It can get noisy especially during the day. It is an old inn, established in 1910. Don't expect a super modern hotel. There is no lobby, just a small registration office.The office and room smells like a combination of old, floral and musty. Found a spider and fly in the room. They have a coffee maker but no free water bottle. They charge $3.00 per 16 Oz. water bottle. Parking is not free. $10 per day fee..Breakfast is mediocre....

"The staff and property were great. We arrived after check in time and had to wait 15 mins until our room was ready. Because of that, we were comped a free Margarita at the bar. Mattress was not comfortable because of slight dip in the middle. Kids running and screaming up and down the hallway at midnight. Final invoice charged us $3 for a bottle of water in the room, which we did not drink. They said they’d remove that charge, so, we’ll see. Unless nothing else is available, we won’t be staying...
