The bed squeaked every time you move. One of the light fixtures didn't work. Best part of the room was the TV. It was a nice size for the room. Pretty much you get what you pay for. If you don't have much to spend, this place will suffice. Just have to suck it up."

"This hotel didn't have anything as stated in their description. The tub leaked, the bathroom facet was loose, and we had to ask for tools and shampoo. Our feet were black from walking on the floor. To get clean towels we had to give them towels to get clean ones. The pool is under repair and not available."

"I only wish we could have stayed longer! We stayed Memorial Day and didn’t bring one thing for the beach since they had everything there! My son said he “never had so much fun at the beach”. Being able to walk out to the beach with the only hurdle of the stairs down/up was perfect. The staff was absolutely nice and hopefully didn’t mind my son asking all my questions! "I understand this is a modest beachside property and that the location across from the beach in Carlsbad naturally comes with higher rates. I booked an “ocean view” room for over $400 expecting the view to justify the price, even if the hotel itself was more basic. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing in a few important ways.
