"Great location very quiet we found our room ( Heather )was very small with furniture over hanging the bed near to your pillow and you had to be very carefull when getting up in the night as the gap between the wardrobe and bed was very tight."

"Rooms require some repainting and stairwell is very dull and dark with most windows needing repair and repainting. The cocktails were fantastic though. As the restaurant closes early it would be nice to have cheese and biscuits available in the bar area in the evening "

"Beautiful accommodation in a stunning setting. Breakfast was 5 star! Lots of choice and presented perfectly. Our double room was very clean with en suite and quality toiletries. Tea/coffee and biscuit were replenished daily. All the staff were so friendly and helpful, with lots of local advice - we couldn’t have chosen a better guest house for our Lake District break. Having on site, free, car parking was a bonus too, so we made use of the bus services in the area. Highly recommend - we’ll be back! Thank you!"

"Great facilities, well situated in Keswick. Parking might be a bit of an issue for some. Small on site car park. Overnight on street possible. Fabulous breakfast. Lovely staff. Would definitely stay again "

"Burnside is a 15 minute walk into Keswick, mostly on a traffic free route along a paved old railway line. Easy drive to the significant mountains in the locality. My room (3) was a little on the small side but very comfortable on the second floor. All amenities were provided in the room as one would expect to find in a private B&B. Breakfast was good with a good few options provided they were ordered the night before and the time of required breakfast. Hotels.com state that there's "limited on site parking". There isn't any. Parking spaces may be found across the road in a side-road. "
