The owners and staff are lovely, the food is nice, the rooms are comfortable, and the area is stunningly gorgeous - I’ve been on some great walks along the Dart River and the other way onto Dartmoor. It’d be a great place to stay for a walking trip. "

We had breakfast most days and lunch on the day we didn’t in the pub downstairs and Alex even remembered what sauce we liked! "The unique thing about the Halfway House Inn is that it is truly dog friendly, no rip off £15 - 20 a night charge that we got at all the other hotels/pubs we stayed in on our 18 days away. We were made to feel welcome with our dog and not treated like 2nd class citizens"
