Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel
6/10 Okay
"Like many others mentioned, the property IS dated. Not only does the loud water /pipe sounds wake you up. But our shower was not working properly, sink was leaking, and overall the unit was not well cleaned. We put a towel on the floor to catch water, and it was filthy when we lifted it to put in the tub, the floor was not dusted well under the sink. The pricing on Expedia is not correct, the hotel adds on a bunch of extra charges when you check in, including their "bar" that we had 0 interest in using. "

Hampton Inn New York Times Square
10/10 Excellent
"After staying in a few hotels near Times Square, this is our favorite! The location is PERFECT!!! The icing on the cake includes: the great free breakfast and the kind, friendly and professional staff — which includes everyone from the front desk to housekeeping to the kind folks working in the dining rooms. Thank you, one and all!!! We can’t wait to come back. "

Hyatt Grand Central New York
6/10 Okay
"This property is very centrally located, however the rooms are small and the walls are thin. We stayed for 5 night and every night we woke up due to partying neighbors. "

Millennium Hotel Broadway Times Square
4/10 Poor
"The location is the best thing about the property. The hotel is dated and needs upgrading. The bathroom had fresh, visible stains on the wall which was an indication that it isn't cleaned well. I was told that a room was available for check-in @ noon and when I arrived it was like I was forced to upgrade due to the front desk knowing that I was ready to settle in. I was told that I was getting a great view in the best room available. The view was horrible and I was charged an additional $40/night, which did not suffice @ all. I wouldn't return nor recommend. Well, that is if someone prioritizes location over amenities & accommodations. "

Paramount Times Square – A Generator Hotel
4/10 Poor
"If you’ve ever wanted to spend $300 for a hotel room with a bathroom you’d have to sit side saddle on the toilet to use, this is the hotel for you. If you like standing sideways in the shower since it’s too small to stand the normal way in, this hotel is for you. If you like other people’s hair in your bathroom sink when you arrive, this hotel is for you. On top of those issues, the bathroom had 2 bath towels and that was it. No washcloths, no hand towels nothing. It also had 2 shampoo pumps in the shower and no body wash or conditioner. The bathroom was so small that I had to exit the bathroom to dry off after my shower. The only reason I’m giving this place 2 stars is because the location was prime for going to see shows on Broadway. If you’re looking for comfort, go somewhere else. "

PUBLIC, an Ian Schrager hotel
2/10 Terrible
"I wanted to like our stay at Public, but it was a disaster. I initially booked three nights here for my girlfriend and I. There was no hot water for our entire stay - imagine having to take a cold shower in winter? - and there were constant alarms and announcements going off in the room which made it difficult to take meetings for work in the room. And if you order food and want to store leftovers in the refrigerator you can forget it. The refrigerator could hold a few small water bottles at most. And then during what I thought would be our final day there, multiple pipes burst in the hotel causing flooding and the elevators were disabled. Without use of the elevators, my girlfriend could not make it to the airport as she had a lot of luggage. So she had to reschedule her flight and I had to book another night. I was surprised to see a $45 dollar “All access fee” added on to the bill. And we had to hear workers yelling and cursing as they tried to clean up the mess. We were offered a room upgrade because of the trouble, and the new room was nice, but there were still loud announcements in the room, and we were even questioned by a goon from security as to why we were moving our luggage from the old room to the new room. I had to explain to them we got an upgrade, which I should not have had to do.
Because of our troubles above, someone called Leilani who works at the hotel reached out to me and offered a discount on our next stay"
