"A well managed hotel which is part of a beautiful country mansion, Friendly and diligent staff. Comfortable and spacious rooms with lots of thoughtful touches, generous tea and coffee supplies, bottle of water, clothes brushes, trouser press and ironing facilities, great for a special event! Peaceful setting in lush gardens. Fab breakfast, wide choice of food and all perfectly cooked. "

"The rooms are comfortable with everything you need and staff had sorted our adjoining rooms as I'd requested on expedia. Rooms were clean with good facilities - all you need. Evening food in the pub was lovely, but the full English breakfast was fantastic! To top it off - lovely staff and will definitely stay again."

The rooms are now all en-suite, which wasn't the case 49 years ago. The room in which I stayed was fantastically quiet and the bathroom was beautiful!
