"Staff were great, the hotel looked stunning and the grounds were amazing. The breakfast was delicious too. The room we had was in the attic so I kept hitting my head, the main light in the room was above the doorway which was around a corner so didn’t really help at all. There was water and hair in the bottom of the shower when we arrived as if someone had only just had a shower. There were patches of damp in the room around the window and on the ceiling."

"We were in the annex but did not enjoy this area the room is very basic and the heating did not work we have had better appointed rooms in less expensive hotels .the front of the hotel is in good decorative order but if you have a walk round the castle there are areas which are in a poor state of repair,when we walked around the grounds we were disappointed to note a lot of dog poo had just been left lying about this is something the care taker should be aware off . "On the plus, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean and well maintained and nicely furnished. The double bedroom with sofa bed I booked turned out to be a 2 double bedroom suite with a lounge with double sofa bed which was a wonderful surprise for myself and my 2 children and superb value. "Excellent attentive staff in every area of hotel. I stay there regularly when visiting friends and family and my only two beefs are that the elevators seem very slow and the rooms themselves do not have enough lighting. The beds are super comfortable and rooms are very clean. The bathrooms are huge but would be nice to have face cloths again but I am noticing a trend internationally regarding this! Great for parking and public transport is very handy if needed. I will be staying there again."

"Great price for the stay. Came in June thought so our room was very hot. The ceiling fan didn’t work so the room was very hot. I brought this up at check out and they just said thanks. The breakfast was amazing and the team friendly. The spa looks great in places and tired in others. Car charger was an absolute bonus before my long trip home!"

"This hotel is in desperate need for refurbishment. The fixtures and furniture is dated and the building itself is so old that you. It think it’s a hotel. The room I got given had a non functional AC. The telephone connection in the room was non functional too. There was no water bottle in the room. You have to buy it!!! The hotel staff had left the room windows, I suppose because the AC wasn’t working. I would not recommend this to anyone."
