"Generally good hotel, breaks the journey if you’re heading off to France by ferry or shuttle"

"First time staying at this particular hotel, we usually stay at the one next door every year (purple one) wanted to gives this one a try. Very clean and quiet hotel and room. Sophie or Sophia (sorry can't remember which one) was pleasant upon arrival. Issues, there are no hooks to hang towels, coats etc. (One behind door only) . Bed side table no drawer or cubby hole to put anything, infact no drawers to put anything in the whole room. Not convenient for a 4 night stay to put our things anywhere. Had to put stuff wherever we could, ie. the chairs, felt like a tip. Husband went down to reception to ask for towels the first night. Said they would have someone bring them up, which was annoying. Guess they don't have towels at front desk which ok whatever, it is still annoying they should gave some period, like everywhere, don't need to hear about service because it is not there either. Waited over 90 minutes for towels. Husband to call reception and he wanted to pick them up himself, oh no no can't do that, ridiculous. We were waiting to shower to go to bed. Not a comfortable stay. Will stick with the hotel next door from now on!!"

"The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable. However, the breakfast experience could be improved. The lady serving breakfast repeatedly questioned whether we had paid for breakfast during our two-day stay. This was quite uncomfortable and could have been avoided if the payment information had been checked in the system beforehand. The staff or the system should be improved to prevent guests from being repeatedly asked about payment."

"Had a bit of a problem checking in after a mix-up with someone with the same name who had cancelled their booking and our booking ended up being cancelled. However they sorted it all out on the spot and upgraded our room and gave us drink vouchers and we even got a partial refund. Excellent service considering the confusion, staff were so friendly and helpful sorting it all out for us"
