"It was a nice short stay. The bathroom wasn't the cleanest and the hallways smelled. The rooms definitely need updated and the beds were small. It was okay for one night."

"Staff was so friendly and kind. Room was absolutely beautiful. My only complaint for a not 5 star was that there were slightly large bugs in our room, not on the bed but on the floor, I’m only assuming since it’s dark with the solar lighting. Other than that this place was absolutely stunning and I will be returning!"

"Very nice and cozy hotel. The bar up top was phenomenal and the menu was different. The weather was so cold when we went to visit but staff was so helpful and kept everything warm and clean while we were there. The valets were so kind and quick to grab our vehicle when we left for the day. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area. The location was also a plus."

It had also been years since I used Expedia, but booking was easy, so shout-out to Expedia for that. The photos online looked great. But honestly, those pictures must have been AI-generated or taken 20 years ago, because there is no way they reflect the actual property. "The hostel is situated in a residential area. Parking is available on a residential street. The check-in process with Travis was easy. Minor issue when showing me to my private room as someone else had the same first name and accidentally showed me to that room first. But was quickly corrected. The room itself was functional. The bed was firm. The shared bathrooms was clean, but showing its age with various broken tiles. I was only staying one night in Detroit and this is definitely an option...

"Way too expensive for what it was and where it is."

"The refrigerator was not cool enough. We kept a bucket of ice in the refrigerator to keep it cool. I wish there was non diary milk so I could have eaten oatmeal. I am lactose intolerant. Otherwise, we appreciated the other amenities."
