"We had a very warm welcome from the friendly staff and were shown to the room which was clean and bright. The food that evening was excellent, and as it was a warm evening we spent a pleasant time sitting outside with our drinks afterwards. Continental breakfast was served promptly at 8 am and the addition of fresh strawberries and blueberries was a definite plus! Check in / check out was swift and efficient. "We stayed in a twin room .beds comfortable but room very narrow. No mirror to do hair.toilet roll holder broken. Friendly staff in restaurant, lovely food. Not much disabled parking which made things difficult. Lovely treatments in spa."

Staff were all very courtious and helpful. Direct booking rather than via an agency is preferred. We will certainly be recomending the Lion to our friends and relations and using you again next time we are in the area. "Lovely place However, AC was not working and needed to be on when we arrived. Far to hot. When we tiried to turn on, it was broken. A fan was provided, which helped, . But as warmth is insured on arrival during colder days, AC needs the same consideration in the hotter temperatures"

"Great location for the little town which has some lovely pubs and restaurants. There for business. Hotel is seriously dated and in need of renovation. Lord knows when the mattress was last replaced and room (exec one) just looked shabby. I just expected better for the price. Really disappointing room."
