"This is a great little find. Perfect for a family who doesnt want to be on top of one another in a hotel. It's a little far out for a quick walk to the city center, but the area is beautiful safe and quiet. It was a great find for the pinch we were in when the trains were shut down and we didnt have a place to stay."

"The property is an old building/hotel. It is centrally located to Old Town. Very walkable. Rooms are small. Depending on where your room is located, you will hear the garbage trucks removing trash at 6:00am. In the evening the glass recycling bin is also next to the dumpster and you will hear many glass bottles being deposited as staff members finish cleaning up. "The Bruntsfield has been a well established hotel for many many years in the area of Bruntsfield. The ambience, the location, the beautiful park (the Links), the comfortable room with excellent amenities .. I could go on. I rate this hotel very highly indeed. There are lots of little shops, restaurants and coffee shops nearby. Princes Street is less than 10 minutes away by bus."

"We had high hopes for a cute hotel for our last night in Scotland. While it looks pretty if you don’t look too closely, it’s pretty run-down. Mattresses were saggy, covers stained and dirty, couldn’t find a full cup of coffee (manager “gave” us a partial cup that was all they had left because I guess the literally measure how much is needed vs. reserved breakfast guests?). It just feels like they’re treading water."
