"I had a room booked for me and I am disabled ,so a while later rang to make sure it was accessible and had to pay extra(disability discrimination?) on arrival was assured it was a “deluxe room” .The bathroom was run down with copious mould ,dust from quite a while built up on skirting boards ,and behind bed heads. Dirty crumpled paper under mattress topper?,milk and drink accessories not topped up daily . Picnic tables 6 ft from room windows so very noisy at night. Dead plants and plastic flower...

"Disappointing. On arrival to the room, there was a distinct musty smell. Not pleasant and still present after opening the windows. No WiFi in the room. Breakfast was almost non existent. For a pub/hotel that promotes its food service and quality, a couple of boxes of cereal and a few miniature pastries was not what was expected or advised. A cooked choice would be expected (and was advertised)"

"Lovely history and nice to see our heritage being used in the 21st century. The building could do with some serious restoration though. Not just a lick of paint. A complete rethink of the room layout. Our room, unfortunately, was right by the air conditioning system and it hummed all night. Ear plugs did the trick! Would appreciate a hand shower as well as the fixed overhead as I don't always want to wash my hair every time I shower. Most hotels have both. No chef, so only breakfast available....

"A very tired old building but bed, bedding & towels were good & we thankfully didn’t pay a lot. A lot of road noise, in what seemed a sleepy & pretty village, more so with the window open on warmer days. Close to beautiful open spaces. Can’t recommend the building or staff who can’t say ‘good morning’ or ‘how is your stay?’ but the cleaning staff were brilliant & it worked for us, attending an event in MK. "
