"There was a problem with communication about the property. I was never told about the power outage and also the property did not have AC system in all rooms. Some of the doors were bad and were never fixed and this was the same complaint for past reviews. The host did not care too much. We were checked in late and were not even compensated for the check out. They had "I do not care" attitude. It is a beautiful property but a terrible host."

"The Valley lodge is Excellent in respect of amenities, safety, restaurants, the staff at the restaurants and lodge are helpful. The food at the restaurant was excellent as well. The host was attentive to our needs and request all the time. She really deserves 5 stars ✨. The Valley lodge really lives up to its name."

"Was a great house and location was perfect but being winter and a coldish weekend, would have been nice to have a few heaters but the blankets were a great second best and made it warm enough. Beautifully decorated and had everything that we needed from cutlery, utensils, kitchen aids and the air fryer is always handy to have. "The facilities at this property were very minimal for what is offered as a furnished holiday let. A salt and pepper set would have been nice. We had flat 2 which is not air conditioned but an air-conditioning unit outside our suite was noisy and disturbing."

"There are 6 large ensuite rooms. A well equipped kitchen with dishwasher. Indoor braai. Lots of parking. Beautiful views. Only negative was weak wifi and no washing machine for longer stays. "
