Publick House Historic Inn and Country Motor Lodge
10/10 Excellent
"Very cute room. Felt very cozy, comfortable, and homey. Loved the little fireplace space warmer for ambiance. Room was spotlessly clean, bed was quite comfortable. Overnight guests got complimentary coffee, tea, and pastries from the bakery. And best of all, the room was very reasonably priced! I’ll definitely stay here again whenever I am in the area. "
"the front desk was excellent .
the shuttle driver was very gracious my husband arrived 1:30 in the morning after a ski trip drove him to the car so he could put his skis in the car, waited for him and drove him to the front door again Just the extra little service! "
"Breakfast was okay and could definitely use some improvement, especially considering the cost (the hot food was lukewarm and not that tasty but it did the job). Coffee was good.
Plenty of parking.
The room as a whole was spotless and well appointed, but the dining table and chairs have seen better days and could do with being replaced.
Kitchen had plenty of dishes, utensils, and cookware; full sized refrigerator, dishwasher, and electric stovetop were great to have.
The living room area furniture wasn't very comfortable but did the job. The couch didn't have any back or side cushions so I used the pillows from the bedroom to make it more comfortable for lounging.
Bed was super comfortable.
The bathroom was small and didn't have a vent so steam from a hot shower just floated around and condensation was an issue, especially because it was too cold to open the windows and vent the room.
I stayed in a queen suite.
Great value for the price, but the $250 incidentals fee was not indicated when making the reservation and canceling when I was informed of the fee meant losing the $400 I paid to reserve the room. I was on a budget and couldn't afford to lose that kind of money. On a positive note, the incidentals fee was returned to my bank account within an hour after checking out.
They don't accept cash.
The front desk staff were friendly and welcoming.
