"We had some hiccups with our stay but overall it served our purpose. This is an older property that has been remodeled with new paint and furniture. There wasn’t any breakfasts or coffee offered in the lobby. There is instant coffee in the room which is meh. The beds are comfortable and if you want housekeeping, you have to request it. Not a lot of amenities but it is located in a great area close to restaurants and a movie theater. It was a nice stay for our family that was no frills."

"Let me just start with the room, it was spacious it was modern it was quit, and clean! and beds were very comfortable, now the staff, staff is amazing quickly proceed our incoming and outgoing stay, The parking lot is safely lit and fenced in on the property. "Excellent price, location and service. Despite road proximity, our stay was quiet and comfortable (excellent mattress(. Housekeeping was thorough, and even included a bundle of worn towels to use for car cleaning, etc.
With so many good tea and coffee places and bakeries (Model Bakery!), we did not miss having a hotel buffet breakfast that is often subpar. We have a new favorite when visiting our family in the Walnut Creek area."

"Hotel Shattuck Plaza is perfectly located for a visit to UC Berkeley, less than a block away. I found everything about the hotel appealing, a nice mix of historic and modern. We had a fanaastic view from our room of the SF skyline and the golden gate bridge!
The standout at the hotel was the staff. I especailly appreciate the young lady who checked us in, she made it so seemless and made sure the valet took care of our car, then greeted me by name throughout our stay.
