We stay here every time we visit Windermere, the staff are lovely, great location, nice and clean property. Good parking and a fabulous breakfast you won’t be disappointed when you stay here it’s just perfect.

The place was lovely and quiet, staff were friendly. Good breakfast. Location is great within walking distance to the lake pier. Our only criticism is that we were asked to book a timeslot for breakfast, and that was limited and later times were usually all booked out; we booked the small country house double room, and we didnt like that the room had the sink in the main carpeted bedroom, while the bathroom had only a shower and toilet.

Beautiful gardens.

Situated on the edge of Bowness, very conveniently placed for a stroll into any of the many restaurants. Breakfast was incredible and excellent value. We enjoyed it so much we stayed an extra night!

As a couple we hav stayed at The Burn How quiet a few times.its so convienient 5min walk and your in BOWNESS. So clean property is the owners staff excellent. Breakfast excellent. 5star all the way...well recommend .excellent.

Wonderful stay at ‘Hidden Gem ‘

Really enjoyed our stay - wonderful bungalow type accommodation in secluded gardens - really is a ‘Hidden Gem’. Wonderful breakfast every morning . Staff are very helpful and friendly . Only few minutes walk to the Lake & really good restaurants . Perfect . Will definitely stay again .

Enjoyable stay

We really enjoyed our stay…the room was large and the bed very comfy. We had everything we needed. The service at breakfast was excellent and there was a very good choice. The location was ideal for visiting Bowness and ideal for catching the buses to visit other sites… The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay again

Lovely hotel and staff

Hotel was fab we stayed in the house and had two rooms for us and our friends both had king sized beds and comfy and great bathrooms and lots of space in the room Breakfast was so lovely served on hot plates and hot food and done to perfection Staff were so friendly and helped with anything we needed Few minutes walk to windermere lake and boats
