They do appear to have a programme of renovations in hand, but our corner room had several cracked window panes and dated furnishings. The sink does not have a mixer tap, and the hot water is scalding, while there is almost no water pressure for the shower. "Location was good, right off the highway. Lots of free parking. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Restaurant was very good. We didnt have the breakfast. Shower was nice had a bathtub. Beds were ok pillows were hard and not very comfortable. Would stay again."

"Even though there are positives in that this hotel is located in a quiet area and has ample parking I do not know how it is rated a 4 star. The decor is from the 70’s and needs a serious update. Even though the website says there is a fan in the room I had to go down to reception and ask for one. The carpets need replacing and there is no ramp into the reception area so you have to carry any luggage up and down stairs. No fridge in the room either. "Lovely location and tranquil setting. However our stay did not include breakfast and at £13 each we gave it a miss. Plenty of parking outside, although there were very few staff around, we had to call the hotel to get someone at reception."

"We thought we’d booked a room and were given a suite on two floors which was novel. The staff were great and the breakfast fine. Dinner was excellent although a little expensive although I may be poor of date. We didn’t have time to try the pool but it looked good. You do have to book a time slot. We would stay again but prefer a room in the main house."

"This was the second time we’ve stayed here in the past 2 years and it was lovely once again. The room is really nice and comfortable and the staff are excellent. The TV has been upgraded from last year which was a much needed improvement and is now excellent. The only minor issues are the air con unit on the wall that seems utterly useless.
