"Very nice room with everything we needed. Good continental breakfast in our room. Parking was free as we arrived after 6pm lon Saturday and Sunday’s are free. I would recommend staying here."

"They don’t serve breakfast anymore, which was a huge let-down. Also, no A/C or fans during the heat-wave was insane."

"Set on a motorway services type estate with plenty of parking, car charging and food drive throughs. Not picturesque, you cant walk out to a pub/village. Wouldnt have stayed if known about the setting. Very close to Stonehenge which is why most might stay here."

"Fantastic stay between Bath & Stonehenge. Surrounding towns provide tonnes of history, monuments and pleasant hills. Great carpark and good showers. It was an unusual hot night and the room had a fan!!! Great staff, I recommend."

"Motel about 5 miles north of Salisbury. Room very spacious and cool in a very hot week, on-site restaurant, lots of parking. Staff always friendly and helpful Breakfast buffet a bit disorganised and quality variable Not many amenities nearby"

"The room was very dainted could do with a reverb in the bedrooms stayed on the hottest weekend in June and all we had was a old small fan in the room Bathroom could do with a very deep clean. Pub itself was nice. Stuff behind the bar were very friendly. Landlord was grumpy and chose to see it with both their big air-condition fans facing himself."

"The staff were very friendly, and made us feel at home! The room was cozy and the view was beautiful, though the road outside was rather noisy, but it dies down after dark. I was hooked on the Cotswold Stout while we were there, and the town absolutely won our hearts! Highly recommended The Bear if you're around Marlborough!"

"Room was good, bed comfy, shower worked well. It’s in the middle of town so there is some noise, especially on a Saturday night, but to be expected. Checking in was easy although it would have been helpful to have two room keys. The woman on the desk did not seem entirely in the same world as everyone else. Parking can be a problem but usually can park in town square (which you need to pay for, either in cash/card or by downloading the local app). Place fairly clean, tables for breakfast...

"This was a lovely place that I would go to again and again. The hotel itself was stunning, the staff were very helpful and thoughtful, and the food was fantastic. The only concern is the stairs are uneven, so just be careful if you’re unsteady. Other than that, delightful experience."

"Bit of a rabbit warren of a place and the single room was clean but quite small though had both a bath and shower. Bathroom could do with some diy. Across the road from a nightclub but sound proofing was ok as the windows of the room were sealed relying instead on efficient air con. Main issue was the sense of damp of the mattress and duvet which may have been due to a mattress cover. At one point sleeping on the floor seemed attractive."

"The property is quite quirky with uneven floors but has character. Quite a small hotel and choices at breakfast were limited. Vegetarians and people with other dietary requirements not really catered for."

"On arrival there was road works outside the hotel which we were unaware of. I had messaged to ask where to park but got no answer. The parking is payable across the road and behind some houses. The hotel building is very old and the bar area is quite nice. The two young lads on the bar were very nice and friendly. The room we had was in need of decoration and updating, not in good shape. We had drinking facilities provided but I’d advise take your own as the ones given were to certain tastes....

"Usually when I’m not happy with a stay, I just put it down to experience and don’t bother to review it. Our stay at the Hawk was a long journey breaker, so we arrived latish, and left early. On this occasion I just think it is worth giving my thoughts, on room 4 at least: Positives - nice bedroom decor, lovely bed/ bedding, friendly staff. Negatives- TV… no signal, didn’t work at all, aerial lead simply didn’t fit properly… and had to have been that way for a while. Bathroom… some nice fittings,...

"Really quaint old inn with lots of exposed stone walls & beams. Staff were super friendly & helpful - really warm welcome & nothing was too much trouble. Bed very comfortable & the small double room I had was perfect just for me. Food in the restaurant was delicious & there was a good choice. Breakfast plentiful, well presented & hearty. Will be staying there again on my way to Devon"

"Extremely friendly and courteous staff, in particular the lady who checked us in and the breakfast team. The hotel is being systematically renovated and the public areas are of a high standard. Our room was clean and well maintained and whilst the bathroom was clean and functional it would have benefited from being renovated. That said, there was nothing seriously wrong with it.
